This springy weather has me in the mood to shop. First up, bags. I recently organized my handbags and realized I haven’t bought a new one in quiet a while. I think this is mainly because I tend to purchase classic styles that I never get sick of and colors that never look dated but I’m wanting to break out of my love-of-basics mold. So far the top brands I’ve been admiring are Lizzie Fortunato, 10 Crosby Derek Lam, Loeffler Randall, Steven Alan, Moyna, and Foley + Corinna. They have the perfect edgy mix of pony hair, beads, mixed patterns, or colorfulness that I’m looking for and that I know I won’t grow tired of too quickly. Yay, for warm weather!

I just got super jazzed up about jewelry and went on a rampage to find a few pieces from designers I love. Also, because I know Shopbop is having a huge deal for Black Friday. Here’s a list of super hot pieces I’m keeping my eye on — and perhaps plan to buy at the end of today…

I don’t know why — but I want to be friends with this guy. I think he would inspire me.   On a related side note — I  love his denim button down top which I believe should be a staple in everyone’s closet. A few of my favorites are by Acquaverde, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Joe’s Jeans.

Prints, Patterns, Textures…Oh My!

I’ve always been one to wear subdued neutral colors and classic silhouettes but when I do want to mix it up, I love doing so with printed, patterned, and textured fabrics.  It’s a great way to add dimension any any outfit without crossing out of my typical style comfort-zone. 
  • Tucker is one of my go-to brands for cool printed silk tops, pants, and jumpsuits. 
  • Equipment has great sheer tops w have cool patterns. 
  • Roseanna has cute cropped textured pants.

These large pouch clutches have been my jam lately — I’ve always coveted the coolness of the Claire Vivier style but now Alexander Wang has caught my eye with his gold hardware cornered pouches. 

Soft + Comfy Vince

Vince is not a brand I think of often but I do own a few Vince pieces and to be honest — they are pretty great. Always quality fabric and construction. I’m rarely disappointed when I do come across Vince products. I’ve been scouring the web to perhaps collect a few more items for my closet — maybe I’ll review some of their skinny jeans next!

I own these high-waisted silk trousers by Charlotte Ronson and can’t wait to pair them with heavier fabrics for Fall or pair them with a denim top and blazer.  

I’ve also been in the market for different wide leg trousers and can’t keep my eyes off Derek Lam’s collection. Love the 2 toned trouser and the chambray pant. If they don’t quit taunting me, they will be hanging in my closet very soon. Anyone else excited for Fall??

Must-Have for Fall

My absolute must-have item is for fall is….(drum roll please)….a denim top! I love pairing denim tops with skirts + ankle boots or silk trousers + ballet flats. It’s the perfect layering piece — you really can’t go wrong.
