Nonie Creme, the founder and creative director of Butter LONDON and pioneer of Fall 2009’s matte nail polish epiphany at Alexander Wang, has worked her magic again at Vena Cava’s Fall 2011 show.
This season she painted bands or rings of nail polish in various shades on the models’ fingers, rather than their nails.
“I’m inspired to push the boundaries of what people do with nail lacquer. I want to encourage people to go beyond the usual,” Creme told Stylelist.
“For Vena Cava, I’m doing pops of color to complement the clothes,” said Creme. She used existing Butter LONDON shades including Tramp Stamp (chocolate brown), Union Jack Black, Royal Navy, Scoundrel (mauve) and Flouro Orange (a sample that’s not yet available).
